Since the beginning, we’ve only done private tours. Not because it sounds fancy, but because it’s the only way we know how to travel up here.
When I started exploring Ha Giang back in 2017, I realized that most tours followed the same loop, at the same pace, stopping at the same places. Villages turned into viewpoints. Markets turned into photo stops. And honestly, I just didn’t want to offer that.
Going private means we adapt to you. Your schedule, your rhythm, your family or partner’s needs. Some of our guests want to take it slow, enjoy long meals, talk to people. Others want to pack their days and explore from morning to sunset. Some have only two days, others ten. Some come with kids, others on their honeymoon. Private means we adjust everything to what makes sense for you.
But it also means something else: we avoid the crowds. Because we’ve never done group tours, our routes were never designed for 10–15 people. We use roads where buses can’t go. We sleep in homes and small lodges that don’t take groups. We time our visits to avoid traffic and reach the villages when others are not around.
It’s not just about privacy or comfort. It’s about connection. With our team, with the families we work with, with the land itself. When you’re not rushed, when you're not herded in a group, you get to actually see Ha Giang. The ancient border villages, the quiet mornings in the mountains, the slow conversations over a bowl of soup. That’s why we do this.
We’ve built every itinerary, every route, every overnight stop thinking about what it would feel like to be there with no pressure. Just you, our guide and driver, and the mountains. No one else.
If you’re looking for a group tour, we’re probably not a good fit. But if you want to feel what it’s like to travel with someone who knows the region, and not on a tour—this is what we do best.
